Requirements by level

Choose your intended study level

Every institution and programme sets its own academic conditions. These are common starting points for preparing an international application.

Foundation

Normally based on secondary-school completion, subjects and grades appropriate to the intended pathway.

Diploma

Usually requires a recognised secondary qualification and programme-specific subject results.

Bachelor's Degree

Entry depends on the applicant's school or pre-university qualification, grades and required subjects.

Postgraduate

Master's and PhD applications require relevant prior qualifications and may require research materials.

Important: Meeting the usual minimum does not guarantee admission. The institution assesses qualification recognition, grades, subject background, available intake and programme capacity.
Prepare clear copies

Common application documents

Send complete, readable documents so the application can be checked before submission.

Language readiness

English-language requirements

The accepted test, required score and deadline differ by university and programme.

Recognised tests

Universities may accept selected tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, Linguaskill or another approved assessment.

Medium of Instruction

Some institutions may consider an official MOI letter, but acceptance depends on the programme and current university policy.

English pathway

Some applicants may receive a conditional route or join language study, while other programmes require proof before admission or visa processing.

Healthcare applicants: Nursing and certain regulated programmes can require approved English evidence before visa processing. Confirm this before applying.
Non-English documents

Translation and document quality

If a certificate or transcript is in Arabic or another language, provide both the original document and its English translation. The university may require a certified translation or further verification.

Send both versions

Do not replace the original with the translation. Submit the original-language document together with the English version.

Use clear scans

Every name, grade, date, stamp and document edge should be visible without blur, shadows or cropped sections.

Before sending your file

  • Name matches the passport spelling
  • All transcript pages are included
  • Files are upright, clear and complete
  • Original and translation are both attached
  • Passport has sufficient validity for the next steps
